Timeline blends Quantum Physics with archaeology and takes us back in time to take part in a significant battle in the Hundred Years War (1357).
ITC, a "shadowy" Hi-Tech company is sponsoring an archaeological "dig" in Southwest France, to excavate and rebuild a castle - monastery complex. A few strange things happen, and the grad students who are doing most of the work at the site are drawn into an adventure that only one of them ever imagined.
Andre Marek was obsessed with all things medieval- The languages, the dress, Jousting, Swords and archery. He always wanted to be a Knight and practiced everything related to chivalry that it would make the most rabid SCA fan hide in shame. And it is a good thing that he does too.
I don't really want to get into the plot or specifics, but take my word for it, this is a story that blends many disciplines into a tale that is at once fantasy AND modern science.
However, I can highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys science OR science fiction; Or to "Action - Adventure" fans, to European History buffs and to fantasy / Swords & Sorcery fans.
I am about convinced that "sorcery" IS Quantum physics.
